Nikon Buckmaster 4X40 Rifle Scope
Readers,
I have been using one of these Nikon 4X40 scopes now for over a year on a Remington 600 in 308 (but shooting NATO FMJ ammo). I also have an older 4X40 Bushnell scope on my Ruger 77 International in 308 as well. I have used these two carbines very successfully to shoot wild hogs in low light conditions. If I can be certain that the black thing I see with my 7X50 binoculars is a hog, usually it is close enough to see to shoot it with the 4X40 scopes.
Well yesterday was my birthday; and it has been a long time since I have bought myself anything besides tobacco and books. So today I ordered three of the Nikon 4X40 rifle scopes, which Naches Shooters Supplies has on sale this month for $99.95. The scopes retail for $175.31.
So, a day late, but "Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me . . ."

P.S. I feel quite certain that the box stores, gun shops, and outdoor sporting goods stores will not recommend this scope to you. However, my more recent posts and photos in the "Boar Tales" section prove the value of the scope/carbine combination in extremely low light conditions.
